Our next project is a venture into creating a social networking site by ourselves! What other ways are there to find out more about social networking site than to create one from scratch? Therefore, we decided to launch a site called Gintama Community.

Gintama is a Japanese manga, anime that is widely popular in Japan as it is very humorous and extraordinary. However, it is not too widely known outside of Japan despite the popularity of online manga reading sites and anime sites. We wanted to do something to change this because it is really a great series and deserves more public attention. Since it is something that we believe in, we don’t mind working for free! Here is what it looks like and in my opinion, it is very well designed.

Our second project was Job Daze. It is a no-brainer that the name comes from the famous local film Army Daze. Job Daze was targetted to recommend jobs for unemployed people and to get them jobs and other avenues that may not be readily embraced by the public. In a nutshell, Job Daze’s existence is to eliminate jobless days for unemployed people.

The colour scheme was slightly customized from our template. We don’t usually endorse changing website themes but we figured since this was a benchmark of our abilities, we gave it a shot.

We took on this project partly because we believe that we should do our part to reduce unemployment rate in Singapore, especially during the early 2009 period. Then, Singapore was experiencing tougher times in the job market, thus leading to the commissioning of Job Daze! We would really like to thank our guest speaker, Mr MarQ Siew for his efforts that is crucial to the success of Job Daze.

Enxie Ferite is our first project and we do find it to be very interesting and fun to enter the world of blogs and social media. Enxie Ferite is an entertainment blog, with songs, videos, satirical humor and many other  fun stuff. We spent quite some time figuring out how to install plugins, themes, widgets and how to write good posts.
